The smallest towns have the biggest secrets.
The scene is a City Council meeting in Big Cherry, a small city that could represent any place in the United States. The play is about unmasking secrets that could undo life as they know it. It is a mystery, a very funny dark comedy, and then becomes a “methodically plotted horror show,” as Variety noted.
The Minutes will debut in Northeast Indiana with performances at the University of Saint Francis North Campus on October 4, 5, 6, and October 12, 13.
TimeVista Theater is committed to presenting works that encourage civil discussion about the nature of history and the nature of institutions.

What They’re Saying
-
Chicago Sun-Times
“Astonishing... a pitch black comedy about the current state of American politics.”
-
Variety
“Certain to be the single work of art that best represents."
-
Daily Herald
“The Minutes is also quite funny, silly even. But the questions Letts poses – what are you willing to do, what are you willing to ignore, what are you willing to forget to preserve your ‘cocoon of comfort’? – are provocative. And perennial.”
-
Chicago Tribune
“Explosive... Deftly captures the tension of patriotic grandiosity and provincial defensiveness found in city halls across the land.”
